Data consistently show that artificial disc replacement is safe and effective for the treatment of cervical disc degeneration with radiculopathy and/or myelopathy and demonstrates superiority over anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) in both short-term and longer-term follow-up studies, he said.
